| OUR CREED (This is the expanded version. At some point, please read it, or you're defeating the purpose of joining in the first place. It IS NOT REQUIRED that you fundamentally believe everything it says, just that you like it and generally nod your head in approval at the concept.) - 1. Humankind is the ultimate force of it's own destruction. 1.1. The meaning of our name is inherent in the words. We represent the coming of all things into nothing; entropy. This theory, and the way it applies to the base futility of human efforts is our fundamental belief.1.2. Nothing mankind does is good for anything except killing and corrupting. This is really the pinnacle of our beliefs; mankind as a species, as a collection of societies, will effect it's own downfall.1.3. On a personal level, we fight a battle between a desire to do good and our complete inability to do so, and although we are incapable of creating any "good" thing with our lives, most of us are relatively harmless. When put together, however, we build societies and social structures, which will never fail to corrupt and destroy. The individual is superior to society, but all humans are generally inept.1.4. Everything we do as a nation, a society, or a world , no matter how "good" we think it is, just ultimately expresses our selfishness, our destructiveness, or some other aspect of evil in our character. We can lie to ourselves and say that what we have done is "good", but we are only satisfying our own desires at the loss of another's, or playing God with impossible decisions. There is no exception to this rule of human behavior; everything we do ends up causing harm.1.5. Therefore, optimism is generally pointless, no hope exists for our world, and eventually, we will all have killed each other. IF YOU ARE CONTENT WITH THE WORLD, OR FEEL OPTIMISTIC ABOUT THE FUTURE, YOU ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE. 2. There are some things of value in existence, despite our corruption. 2.1. The ability of the human mind to realize this truth and begin the mental process of overcoming it on an individual scale.2.2. The ability of the human mind to create art and knowledge, which are fundamentally good until someone comes along and screws them up, too. 3. We believe in absolutes absolutely.3.1. There is one true religion (or lack thereof). We may not know what it is, but all roads DO NOT lead up the same mountain, and someday, someone is going to be right, and someone else is going to be wrong.3.2. There is only one correct worldview. We belive it to be ours, but it may in fact be someone else's. Again, time will tell what the truth is, but the point is that there IS a truth.3.3. Because of this absolution, we must, as intelligent beings, seek to find the truth in everything. When we have found it, we must seek to share our knowledge. This is one of the only few benifits that a person can provide to his fellow man.3.4. Despite all this, it is important to note that we encourage introspection, analysis, and study of philosophy. We do not want to hear that you have found the truth and be subjected to your blatant propaganda. We will find the truth behind things only by searching very hard and arguing very long. This is the inevitable human way. 4. We do not believe in anything structured or organized by people. 4.1. With few exceptions, we shun everything that is organized by communities of people, everything that is societal. We are not unaware of the oxymoron contained within being a society ourselves, but more on that shortly.4.2. We do not believe in politics. Nobody in the entire field, be it America, or any country on earth, is anywhere near right, or doing anything remotely good or selfless in any way. Politics is an inane structure of pack-mentality domineering, and a worthless endeavor in each facet. We will talk about the subject, and compare the failures of one administration/candidate to another's, but all the while noting that they all exude extreme futility.4.3. Generally, and with some exceptions, we do not believe in organized religion. The key word here is organized. Generally, the more people who "run" or "organize" a religion, the more likely it is to be corrupt. If you attend a church/mosque/whatever, that's fine and we won't complain, be we really can't stand behind any religion that desires to become, our favorite keyword, societal.4.4. We recognize that the Advent itself is a society, and a collection of human beings, and that, being such, it runs the risk of corrupting itself at the same fundamental levels as other societal structures, and becoming a force for either harm, or utter inanity. Being generally pessimists, we almost expect this to happen, but conclude that since it is desirable to unify the concepts of this creed in a social atmosphere, we will make the attempt. In order to stave off our natural anarchy, we impose a system of dictatorship on this forum, wherein, a very few individual minds have the right to decide the course we will take. Because, as individuals, we are fundamentally better than we are as societies, we hope to succeed. |

| The First Amendment to the CreedBeing official creed doctrine, but not required belief. 1. We believe in four legs of the human psyche, as opposed to the conventional three. 1.1. The older belief that humans stabilize themselves on three 'legs', for lack of a better term, is a falsehood of human error, and is to be treated as such. Humans stand not on three, but four legs. Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Comprehensional. 1.2. Physical stability isn't fitness, but the willingness to accept one's own physical stature for what it is, and accept what limited control he hold over it. Those who constantly bitch about zits and being fat and how hideously ugly for hair looks in the morning have naught but a stub of a first leg. However, it is one of the basic three that make way for the fourth's growth. 1.3. Mentaly stability isn't just being sane, as nobody here can classify 'sane' in any way, shape, or form. It merely expresses the ability to process new information, remember it, and learn that which is in immediate or gradual concern. We cannot learn if we don't care, and those who understand that have excellent mental stability. 1.4. Emotional stability is something most people lack. Those who feel that their emotions can run rampant, and cannot control their own are doomed to emotional bias that may hinder rational judgement when extreme measures must be executed. Control is key. 1.5. The final, and most rare leg is that of comprehension. People can understand the body, and mind, and the heart. However, without understanding how these affect others, as well as yourself, you are doomed to travel amongst the masses like a conforming zombie with little to differentiate you from the general public in the eyes of the enlightened. The ability to comprehend on a superhuman level dictates not only your response, but your world view. To see humanity as a whole, not as specific individuals, one must open their mind to the possibility that even we, as a group, are unified under some form of generalization, such as this creed. This is the basic foundation of stereotypes, and they wouldn't hold any effect on anyone if there wasn't some truth to them at certain points. One who comprehends is one who understands, and those who don't understand are most likely to fall. This is my addition to the creed. It is for all to read, but few to understand, and for those who understand, know that one of your brothers lies within the advent, and that he holds true to our beliefs, even if the majority don't see the world the way we do. |

| The Second Amendment to the CreedBeing official creed doctrine, but not required belief. 1. We believe in survival of the fittest. 1.1. It's a Darwinian concept in origin, but it applies to us regardless of whether we agree with our friend Darwin on the matter of evolution. In an animal world, or, God forbid, a military world, survival of the fittest refers to physical integrity; the ability to win in contests of strength. In our world of ideas that can kill just as surely as tooth and claw, survival of the fittest refers to intelligence; the strength of the mind. We can overcome by the ability to win in a contest of wits. 1.2. This is one reason we promote the gathering of information and the debate of ideas. By learning the truth about things, we become effectively stronger than the average person. 1.3. Another belief that relies on this standard is the relative ambiguity of good and evil as concepts. What we call "good" basically means doing some harm, but less harm than what we call "evil". We conclude that people should live by their own moral standards. If this were the case, the majority would conquer, and there would no longer be a cause to disagree. 2. We believe that knowledge is for everyone. 2.1. There should be no such thing as that which you are not allowed to know.Just as we seek to learn the truth about everything, we also seek to share information on truth where it has already been found, and kept from us. 2.2. The members of the Advent should have access to all of the informational resources required to consider every possibility and absolve every enigma. With sections like the Dangerous Place, we aim to provide these resources to our members. _________________ If you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again.
